Come, Little dreamer
Let me put you to sleep
Rest your head on my lap
And count down the sheep
Let the sweet ocean waves
Rock us into a warm abyss
And let my arms cradle you
Into a day that is new
Maybe, I'll read you a poem
Or maybe, even a story
Better yet, If lucky,
I'll let you hear me sing a melody
Though I may forget
Some words of the lullaby
And my voice may be out of
tune for the symphony
Along my efforts are my prayers
That your dreams may give you a good time
That you may no longer hear the ruckus of the world outside
That you may be shielded from the things which puts you in a bind
